Teaching

I teach psychology with the same approach I bring to my work as a therapist: curiosity, conversation, and an interest in how people make sense of themselves and the world around them.
My work with college students outside of the classroom also shapes how I teach inside of it. I know that students bring uncertainty, pressure, relationships, work, family, and a lot of life into the classroom with them.

My Approach to Teaching

I don't expect students to walk into the classroom already knowing how to be college students.

I want students to ask questions, participate before they feel completely confident, connect psychology to their own lives, and learn that not knowing something yet is part of learning—not evidence that they don't belong.

My goal is to create a classroom where students can be imperfect out loud.
